Meet Miss Bee, a children’s enthusiast and dynamic music entertainer. For the past 15 years, she has dedicated her life to nurturing the social and emotional development of children in various capacities. Her passion for education has driven her work as a nanny, early childhood educator, and founder of her own preschool. Miss Bee's exceptional programming and curriculum are based on the philosophy of learning through play and designed to cater to each child's individual needs. Her vision and efforts have helped mold generations of confident learners.
Currently, Miss Bee leads the Explorers Playgroup EduPlay program, an early childhood music and movement enrichment program that helps children build emotional confidence and independence through shared experiences and exploration. As a result of her inspiring and unique approach to learning, children develop important social skills that are not only vital for school but also for life. The premier early childhood music program for families with young children, Explorers Playgroup leads vibrant and engaging classes that involve singing, dancing, and playing instruments to a diverse range of familiar and original songs—from tender lullabies to boisterous Caribbean jams. The granddaughter of renowned multi-instrumentalist Lloyd Mason, music has been an integral part of her family. Miss Bee has also honed her musical chops under the teachings of esteemed composer and organist Dr. Carl Maultsby.
Beyond her musical background and dedication to children, Miss Bee also shares her expertise with other child care providers, leading workshops focused on best practices for early childhood education. Her driving force has always been to improve access and quality in this vital stage of child development.
